Introduction to Advanced Open Water

This course can be taken after completing the PADI Open Water Diver certification. It’s titled PADI Advanced Open Water Diver because it advances your diving knowledge and skills.

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver eLearning is designed to improve your underwater knowledge and skills. You can enrol immediately after earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification regardless of your skill level. The course helps you build confidence in navigation, fine-tune buoyancy skills and introduces you to different diving activities such as wreck diving, night diving or underwater imaging. After completing your eLearning, you’ll make five Adventure Dives: a deep dive (beyond 18m/60F), a navigation dive, and three additional Adventure Dives of your choice to earn your certification.

On completion, you will be awarded the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver qualification which qualifies you to dive to a depth of 30 metres.

The five dives must include two core dives (Deep & Navigation) plus three other Adventure dives which can be selected from the Go Dive AOW Options. These Adventure Dives correspond to the first dive of a related PADI Specialty course. Go Dive also offers you the opportunity to upgrade your course to include certain PADI Specialties.
