Introduction to Instructor Development Courses

The PADI Instructor Development Course consists of two separate parts:

  • The PADI Assistant Instructor course (AI)
  • The PADI Open Water Instructor program (OWSI).

Go Dive IDC’s are delivered by one of few course directors to have been awarded Platinum status by PADI. Only the top 7% of course directors worldwide have received this award.

To become an instructor, you are now also required to complete the Emergency First Response and Care for Children Instructor (EFRI) Course. This allows you to teach the First Aid requirement for Rescue Diver courses and First Aid Courses for non-divers.

For Master Scuba Diver Trainers, we also offer the option to complete the IDC Staff Instructor Course, contact us for prices.
