Open water swimming has become incredibly popular over recent years as more and more people take up the sport. We can help with some great gift ideas for open water swimmers and to help encourage new swimmers into the water.
In this blog we have pulled together our top 10 gifts for open water swimmers to give you some ideas.

2 Fourth Element Dry Sac – £17 – £28
Another Fourth Element product but we really do love this company and all they stand for and do! These dry sacs come in various sizes from 5 to 30 litres and have a roll top closure to keep equipment dry. They are great for keeping you valuables in to keep them dry with your swimming kit and to keep them sand and dirt free on the beach, riverside or wherever you may be. There are so many uses for them that they make a great gift if you are unsure what to get someone!
3 Waterproof changing mat – £22.50
Not all open water swimming sites have lovely dry ground or decking to get changed on and that’s why a waterproof changing mat can be really helpful. Its idea to stand on to protect your feet and wetsuit (if you use one!) as well as keeping your clothes clean and dry. An absolutely essential bit of equipment that any open water swimmer will love!
4 Swimming Tow Float – £19.95
A swimming tow float is essential for all open water swimmers to help keep them safe in the water. They are highly visible and have enough buoyancy to support a swimmer for a rest if required.

There is nothing worse than getting cold (in our opinion!) and these brilliant wetsuits from Yonda are the perfect wetsuit for getting into the wild to enjoy open water swimming whilst staying warm! 8 Gloves – £34.95
We have already said how much we hate being cold but what is the absolute worst is cold hands! These gloves are super stretchy and really comfortable which makes them great for open water swimming.
9 Discover Scuba (Try Dive) Experience – £15
We know you are looking for the open water swimmer in your life but how about giving them the opportunity to experience what it’s like below the water for a change? We hold discover scuba sessions every Thursday evening at Moorways pool in Derby and it’s a great introduction to what it takes to explore the underworld. Suitable for anyone over the age of ten who is in reasonable health it makes a great gift for all the family. We can issue lovely gift vouchers for the sessions too.
20 Go Dive Vouchers – £10 – £200
If all else fails and you are still unsure then why not give a Go Dive gift voucher that can be spent on any of our open water swimming products? For last minute gifts we can send these by email direct to your recipient (or to you if you prefer!) or you can choose to have a physical gift voucher if you would prefer!
